Education without Borders needs caring and committed people who are available for short-term and longer-term projects.

Our staff and volunteers are a valued group of individuals dedicated to supporting the diverse activities of EwB in South Africa directly or through its partners in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

If you live in or near Cape Town, and are interested in working as a tutor or offering other support please send your contact information and expression of interest to Monde Mdingi at

No matter where you live, EwB is always looking for new volunteers to support its education and mentorship programs. A variety of opportunities are available throughout the year such as volunteering for the South African Film Festivals and helping with communications. EwB’s mentoring program connects adult mentors with student mentees in South Africa, and is expanding its program to offer mentorship opportunities for EwB staff in South Africa. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or mentor, connect with us at
